Description of activities:
CEAC, or Central European Aluminium Company, has run the largest industrial enterprise in Montenegro - the Kombinat Aluminijuma Podgorica (KAP) aluminum smelter - and the Rudnic Boxita Niksic bauxite mine, which supplies raw materials for the smelter, since 2005.

KAP is capable of producing more than 120,000 tonnes of primary aluminum per year. It accounts for more than 15% of Montenegro's GDP and over half the country's exports.

En + Group has invested more than $40 million in modernization and environmental programs at the smelter and mine since acquiring the assets.

UC RUSAL AND ORBITE ALUMINAE SIGN MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING

UC RUSAL (SEHK: 486; Euronext: RUSAL/RUAL; MICEX-RTS: RUALR), the world's largest aluminium producer, is pleased to announce the signing of Memorandum of Understanding with Canada-based Orbite Aluminae, the owner of the unique technology for the extraction of metallurgical alumina and rare-earth elements from aluminous clay. The Memorandum, signed during RUSAL delegation's visit in Québec, foresees the possibility of creation of a joint venture to develop the aluminous clay deposit, owned by Orbite Aluminae, located in Grande-Vallée, near Murdochville town in the Province of Québec in Canada, and a construction of an alumina refinery. RUSAL may also get exclusive rights to use the respective alumina production technologies in Russia after its necessary adaptation to Russia-specific ores.
